2024-2025 School Operational Plan
for Graves County Schools

We look forward to welcoming our teachers, students, and families back into our schools for the 2023-24 school year. We are committed to providing high quality education in a safe and secure manner.  The following information details our current School Operation Plan.  As in past years, our procedures are subject to change in response to local/state guidance.

Updated on July 22, 2024

We will:

  • Allow mask wearing to be optional inside school buildings and on school buses.

  • Continue to work with our local health department to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff.

  • Quarantines will only be required of students and staff if they are directed to do so by a health care provider.

  • Share information on vaccination opportunities for those interested in getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Continue to ask employees and students to screen themselves for fever or other COVID-19 related symptoms.  We ask employees and students to stay home if they have a fever.

  • Continue with cleaning and disinfecting of all facilities daily.  High touch surfaces will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

  • Continue to utilize hand sanitizer stations placed throughout our buildings.

  • Teach and promote proper hand washing and respiratory hygiene.

  • Post signage in all facilities to encourage proper hand and respiratory hygiene.

  • Operate all schools on a standard schedule.

For those interested in COVID-19 vaccination opportunities, contact the Graves County Health Department by calling (270) 247-3553.

Thank you for your flexibility and continued support of Graves County Schools
