Graves County High School welcomes veteran teacher Stephanie Duke to their administration team as an assistant principal.

For the last 19 years of her 21-year career, she has been serving Graves County High School as a science instructor, teaching various science courses, including Advanced Placement, and serving as department chair.  She has been a member of both the District Instructional Leadership Team and the Curriculum Committee for 12 years.  In addition, Mrs. Duke has mentored others in the profession as a resource teacher and a secondary science coach.

A graduate of Murray State University, Mrs. Duke has Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees in Education.  Her most recent degree completion was a Master of Arts in Education Administration, which she completed in 2019.

Principal Janet Throgmorton shares, “Stephanie Duke brings a wealth of high school experience to our team.  She has served on our District Leadership team for several years and has gained insight into standards development, instruction, and instructional coaching. That, along with her vast teaching experience, will allow her to assist teachers in perfecting their craft.  I am looking forward to working with Mrs. Duke in this capacity and together doing great things at GCHS.”
