Cowboy Day

GCHS Animal Science Career Pathway students hosted their annual Cowboy Day Event for 2nd graders county-wide.  Over 60 high school students were involved in the planning, preparation and execution of the experience.  Led by Abby Lyell, GCHS agriculture teacher, the students organized a variety of stations directly connected to their course work, equine safety being one example.  Elementary students were given an early, fun-filled introduction to agriculture concepts, as the high school students had an opportunity for meaningful application of their learning.
