Kailey Butler, Maddie Brown, and Louis Driver all placed in the 2021 All-State Art Show. Each of these students qualified to participate in this show because they all received first place at the regional level earlier this year.

Driver, a senior, placed 3rd in Printmaking for his piece, titled “Crow.” Butler, a sophomore, also placed 3rd in Fashion Design with her piece entitled “Andy’s Pals.” Senior Maddie Brown earned first place in the state in Sculpture with her piece entitled “Unity.”

GCHS art teacher Anthony Woodruff said these students will receive printed certificates, ribbons, and medals from the Kentucky Art Education Association, as well as gift certificates from Blick Art Supplies. I'm extremely proud of all the students who participated in this year's KyAEA High School art exhibition,” added Woodruff.

On behalf of GCSD, congratulations to these three students on these well-deserved accolades!
