Graves High business students interact with Mayfield, Graves County officials on regional travel/tourism proposals

Graves County High School students in business teacher Michelle McKee’s travel and tourism class recently welcomed and posed with Mayfield Mayor Kathy O'Nan. She spoke to students about local economic development and tourism. Each year, students in the class conduct marketing research in this geographic region. That research then informs and inspires unique tourism ideas class members develop. In November, they present their proposals to the mayor and city council as well as the Graves County judge-executive and fiscal court. McKee praised Mayfield and Graves County leaders’ participation. She said officials’ contributing their time and interest in reviewing students’ presentations enhances the sense of reality her students gain from the project.
