The Graves County School District offers several media contacts through which it will announce when school is closed or opening of school is delayed, due to inclement weather this winter.
Broadcast stations the district informs include WPSD/Local 6 TV, WYMC-AM 1430/FM 93.9, Froggy 103.7, and the radio outlets of Bristol Broadcasting.
The Bristol Broadcasting stations include WKYQ-FM 93.3, WKYX-FM 94.3/570 AM, 94.7/The Mix, 95.5 WNGO-FM/1320 AM, Electric 96,9/WDDJ-FM, and WLLE-FM 102.1. Bristol also operates www.Westkentuckystar.com.
A direct source from the school district is its web site, http://www.graves.kyschools.us. The Graves County Schools’ Facebook and Twitter accounts on-line also will post weather-related announcements.
Any parent of a student who has provided the district a telephone number may receive the All-Call telephone system notifications. Those interested also may download the “School Way” app to their phones to receive alerts.
One other option is to phone a specially-designated district telephone line for the latest news on whether school will be cancelled. Phone (270) 674-4803 or (270) 328-4803.
