Graves High Dance Blue serves as fundraiser to fight pediatric cancer; Independence Bank among sponsors
“Every year since 2006, the University of Kentucky has done an event called Dance Blue,” said Graves County High School senior Chaney Willett. “It’s where they raise money to fight pediatric cancer. Since those early years, high schools have been taking on that challenge and contributing. Our four-hour mini-marathon is Friday night, Feb. 16. We have four, hour-long themes: a classic line dance, country, glow dance, and the last hour is a memorial hour. We’ve had several business sponsors. Independence Bank sponsors an hour and we thank them for that.” Pictured, from left, are Darvin Towery of Independence Bank, Willett, and Graves High principal Matthew Madding.
