Sedalia Elementary students to celebrate Native American Day

Sedalia Elementary School fifth-grade students in teacher Sandy McEndree’s social studies class recently had the opportunity to learn how and why Native Americans created cornhusk dolls. Pictured here are Bhavik Patel, left, and Maddie Wilson in the process of making their own Native American cornhusk doll with the help of presenter Gerry Gutfreund. The cornhusk dolls will be on display the Sedalia Elementary School during Native American Day.
