Graves County High School Army JROTC Raider Team earns resounding victory at Western Kentucky University

The Graves County High School Army JROTC Raider Team finished the school year with a resounding victory at Western Kentucky University Saturday, April 29. Graves County defeated several power house high schools, including Bowling Green, Owensboro, and John Hardin, to name a few. The Raider event consisted of ten different events and Graves County Team One finished first in eight of the ten events, cruising to an easy victory. The events included Transport a Casualty, Vehicle Pull, One Rope Bridge, Mine Field crossing, Drill and Rank Exams, Grenade Assault Course, Logistic Resupply, Stress Rifle Shoot and Ammo Resupply. Lt. Col. (Retired) Jason Caldwell, Senior Army Instructor and Raider coach, said he is “very proud of the seniors on the team, and I’m impressed how they closed out the season. The seniors were part of many big victories over their four years; they took the team to a higher level and will be missed next year. We will pick Raiders back up in August and I’m positive the new seniors will field an even better team for 2018.”
